Basic Chocolate Cake makes a rich and delicious cake that is perfectly tender and moist. A chocolate cake never goes out of style. Trends keeps changing but chocolate cakes are still in our hearts as it was years ago. Basic Chocolate Cake is appealing both to the baker as well as the customer who is going to enjoy as well. Traditionally cake recipes were prepared in a conventional baking oven with a controlled dry heat. These days buying a oven can be a huge investment and more importantly Indian cooking generally does not involve baking process. Hence this recipe is for those who crave for a basic cake and would like to explore their options with pressure cooker. You can top it with simple whipped cream or add a drizzle of Easy Caramel Sauce or chocolate syrup for a perfect dessert. You can explore your favorite dish here.
Pre heat the pressure cooker or kadai for 10 minutes in medium flame. In the mean time beat the eggs with sugar and vanilla essence for 7 minutes, Then add oil and milk.
In a bowl, strain all purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt and coffee powder(do this before we start beating the eggs). Now add this flour mix little by little to beaten eggs and mix gently.
The cake batter is ready, Now take the cake tin and apply some oil.
Pour batter into tin.
Tap the pans against the counter to help the batter settle. Place a plate or stand at the bottom of the pressure cooker to make sure that heat is spread evenly while cooking, Place the cake tin over it. Bake until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean approx 30 to 40 minutes.
Transfer cake to racks and let cool 10 minutes, Then run a knife round the edge of the pans and turn the cakes out onto the racks to cool completely.
