For preparing basic potato gnocchi, first boil the potatoes. Peel the skin and mash it with fork.2)Add the flour, salt and make a small space in between.3)Add egg and knead the mixture into a dough.
In a board spread some flour. Place the dough and cut into long pieces.5)Again cut into small pieces. Shape the surface with a fork as shown in image.
Keep this aside for 5 minutes.7)In a vessel take sufficient water. Add salt.8)When water starts to boil, add the pieces 1 by 1.9)When it floats, the gnocchi is ready.
This is the basic potato gnocchi. Serve with sauces.
