Instructions
  1. Boil 4 cups of chopped beans in little water with 1/2 a tsp of salt for about 15 mins or so or until tender on medium flame.
  2. Strain them and keep aside.
  3. Heat a tbsp of oil in a pan.
  4. Add all the seasoning ingredients(channa dal, urad dal, mustard, cumin, red chillies and finely chopped green chillies) and saute for a while for about 3/4th minute.
  5. Add turmeric, ginger-garlic paste, chilly powder, methi leaves, sliced onions, salt and saute for 4 - 5 mins until the raw smell of methi leaves and onion vanishes and a nice aroma of methi leaves comes.
  6. Now at this stage, add the boiled and strained beans.
  7. Mix them well and saute for 3 - 4 mins.
  8. Cover and cook on low flame for 3 - 4 mins.
  9. :- Adjust the salt level.
  10. Add the grated coconut and finally switch off the stove.
