Beef Thoran
Ingredients
- 1/2 kg Beef
- 1 tsp Coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp Chilly powder
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1/4 tsp Pepper powder
- 3 nos Garlic pods
- 1 small Ginger
- 1 small Cinnamon Karugapatta
- 2 nos Cloves Grambu
- 1 no Cardamom Elakka
- 1 small Nutmeg Jathikka
- 1 tbsp Vinegar
- Salt As reqd
- 1 cup Grated coconut
- 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds Jeerakam
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 1 tsp Mustard seeds
- 1/2 cup Onions chopped
- 2 tsp Green chillies chopped
- 1 tsp Ginger chopped
- Curry leaves A sprig
Instructions
- Cut meat into small pieces after removing fibres and fat.
- Mince the meat in mincer or crush the meat and shred it.
- Grind cumin seeds and crush coconut.
- Heat 1/4 cup oil in a pan.
- Add mustard seeds and when they splutter, add onions followed by green chillies , ginger, curry leaves, cumin seeds and crushed coconut.
- Mix the prepared meat and stir until the water is absorbed.
