  • Peel the ridge gourd (beerakayalu) and cut into small pieces.
  • Heat 1 tbsp oil oil in a pan and add the ribbed gourd pieces.
  • Cover and cook till soft.
  • Grind ginger piece or grate.
  • Add salt, red chilly powder, ginger & sugar.
  • Add 1 tbsp oil so the whole curry looks glossy and does not stick to the sides of the pan.
  • :- Beerakaya (Ridge Gourd) Allam Kaaram Kura is ready!!
  • :- As simple as it is. Adjust the ingredients to your taste. Goes very well with hot rice.
