Beetroot Peanut Sambhar

Beetroot peanut sambhar is a different sambhar ,it is so tasty and healthy to have with rice. The color of the sambhar is so attractive and looks richer and healthier. Here the peanuts and beetroots are cooked first and even the toor dal is cooked separately and kept separately. now a masala paste is ground separately and all three are mixed with tamarind juice to make this wondrful sambhar.

Ingredients
  

  • toor da cooked 1 cup
  • cooked beetroot 1/2 cup
  • cooked peanut 1/2 cup
  • dhania 1 1/2 sp
  • channa dal 1sp
  • urad dal 1 sp
  • tomato 1
  • shallots 1 cup
  • 6 red chilli 5
  • turmeric 1/2 sp

Instructions
 

  • in a pan roast dhania, channa dal , urad dal, shallots, tomato, red chilli and hing. grind them to paste.
  • in tamarind water add turmeric, and bring to boil.
  • to this add beetroot and peanuts
  • now add dal
  • add the ground paste
  • cook for sometime and garnish with coriander leafs and serve.
