Bhaturas are thick leavened tasty pooris fried in hot boiling oil. Bhatura is a crispy, crunchy flatbread prepared from maida flour. Bhatura is unique and interesting with maida flour sieved with leavening ingredients and rolled out into thick pooris and deep fried. Bhatura tastes best with chole masala and onion.   • For prepaaring Bhatura, first sieve maida with baking powder, salt and baking soda.
  • In a cup, mix sugar in the curd.
  • Slowly, add it to the maida.
  • Add reqd water and 2 tbsp of oil and knead the dough gently.
  • :- The secret lies in that the dough should be soft, pliable and should not stick to the hand.
  • Cover with a wet cloth and keep aside for 2 hours.
  • Make small balls and keep it again for 10 mins.
  • Grease your palms with a little oil and flatten the balls.
  • Roll them out into pooris.
  • Deep fry in hot oil.
  • Take it onto an absorbent paper to remove the excess oil.
  • :- Serve Bhatura hot with chole.
