For the cake:
  • Allpurpose flour(Maida) - 175 gm
  • Powdered sugar - 100 gm
  • Cocoa Powder - 25 gm
  • Chocolate essence - 1 tsp
  • Soda - 1 tsp
  • Refined oil - ½ cup
  • Salt(A pinch) -
  • Curd - 1 cup
For icing:
  • Icing sugar - 200 gm
  • White butter(home(made) - 100 gm, home) -
  • Drinking chocolate - 100 gm

Instructions
  1. For the filling: 1)Mix biscuit powder, jam, sugar and refined oil and warm it slightly.
  2. For the icing: 1)Keep little plain butter aside. Beat the butter and icing sugar till soft. Add chocolate powder and mix well. For making the cake: 1)Sieve maida, powdered sugar and soda together at-least three times.
  3. Add refined oil, curd and essence and mix it well.
  4. Beat it in one direction for 15 minute and keep this batter aside.
  5. Take a cake tin and grease it with butter.
  6. Put butter paper according to its size and dust with flour.
  7. Now put the batter in the cake tin and bake it in a preheated oven at 180ªC/350ªF for 45 minutes.
  8. After one hour of removing it from the oven, cut the cake horizontally through the center.
  9. Take the first part and put the filling and keep the second part over it.
  10. Spread the icing mixture equally on all sides.
  11. Decorate it with plain butter.
  12. :- Makes cake of approx. 11/2 pounds
