Bottle Gourd Cowpea Gravy

This is a very auethentic curry made with a different combination of bottle gourds and cowpeas.this curry is very often made in south side which is commonly accompanied with white rice.

  • bottle gourds chopped 2 cups -
  • cow pea cooked 1 cup -
  • fenu greek 1/2 sp -
  • jeera 1/2 sp -
  • mustard 1/2 sp -
  • curry leafs few -
  • Garlic : 4 cloves -
  • baby onions 1/2 cup -
  • tomatoes 1 no -
  • Grated Coconut : 1 Cup -
  • tamarind paste thick 2 sp -
  • Salt -

Instructions
  1. saute all the seasoning in oil
  2. add bottle gourds
  3. add tomatoes
  4. grind coconut with curry leaves, jeer and 2 sp of cooked cow peas
  5. add the ground paste and put chilli powder and dania powder.
  6. when boils add tamarind paste and salt
  7. add cooked cowpeas andsimmer for 5 mins and serve
