Bread Malai Toast also known as Shahi Toast is a rich bread pudding. Toasted bread covered with creamy milk is known as Malai. This is a delicious and easy breakfast recipe in which toasted bread is covered with yummy flavored cream and healthy nutrients. This has a very soft texture that simply melts in your mouth. The evenly toasted Bread Malai Toast is apt as an evening snack too and can be enjoyed with a cup of hot chai. Kids can enjoy this as an after school snack. Bread Malai Toast

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1 cup Milk powder
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 1/2 tin Condensed milk
  • 1/2 tsp Cardamom powder
  • 1/2 cup Almonds chopped
  • 3 nos. Bread slices

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil or ghee in a pan and toast the bread both sides on the skillet over medium heat until bread is toasted to a golden brown color and crispy. Set aside.
  • In a heavy bottomed pan, boil milk by adding milk powder and condensed milk over medium heat.
  • Cook it for 5-10 minutes until it starts thickening. Add sugar and cardamom powder. Boil for about 3 more minutes, stirring occasionally. Turn off the heat.
  • The final step is assembling. Take a serving bowl and pour half of the milk mixture. Arrange the toasted bread slices on top of it and pour remaining malai all over the top. Garnish with chopped almonds and serve immediately!!
