Bread Nirachathu is another authentic malabar dish served in ifthar.The whole bread is filled with a chicken filling and boiled eggs and coated with an egg batter then its shallow fried in ghee or oil.You van substitute the chicken filling with beef.So lets see how I prepare it...
Cook the chicken with 1 tsp pepper powder,1/4 tsp Turmeric powder,salt as required and mince it.
Heat oil in a pan and saute onion,green chilly,ginger garlic paste.When soft add cooked chicken,garam masala,pepper powder,turmeric powder salt and mix will.Cook till the mixture is dry and add coriander leaves.
Cut a 1 inch thick piece of bread in the top and make a hole.
Stuff 2 tbsp chicken filling
Stuff a piece of boiled egg
Repeat the process and fill the bread completely.
Mix maida with little water and pich of salt.seal the bread piece with that maida mix.
whisk egg and a pinch of sugar,roll the whole bread in it and shallow fry it in oil.
