Bread Nirachathu is another authentic malabar dish served in ifthar.The whole bread is filled with a chicken filling and boiled eggs and coated with an egg batter then its shallow fried in ghee or oil.You van substitute the chicken filling with beef.So lets see how I prepare it...

  • Cook the chicken with 1 tsp pepper powder,1/4 tsp Turmeric powder,salt as required and mince it.
  • Heat oil in a pan and saute onion,green chilly,ginger garlic paste.When soft add cooked chicken,garam masala,pepper powder,turmeric powder salt and mix will.Cook till the mixture is dry and add coriander leaves.
  • Cut a 1 inch thick piece of bread in the top and make a hole.
  • Stuff 2 tbsp chicken filling
  • Stuff a piece of boiled egg
  • Repeat the process and fill the bread completely.
  • Mix maida with little water and pich of salt.seal the bread piece with that maida mix.
  • whisk egg and a pinch of sugar,roll the whole bread in it and shallow fry it in oil.
  • Tasty and delicious Stuffed Bread is ready now.
