  • Onion(peeled & chopped) - 1 no
  • Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
  • Green chillies(seeded & chopped) - 2 nos
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Sugar(optional) - 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin(ground, Jeerakam) - 1/4 tsp
  • Salt - 1/4 tsp
  • Yoghurt - 1 tsp
  • Lemon juice - 1 tsp
  • Bread slices(cubed) - 4 nos
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnishing -
  • Tomato(chopped) - 1 no

Instructions
  1. Heat the oil in a small saucepan.
  2. Splutter mustard seeds.
  3. Add in the onion and chillies and stir for a minute.
  4. Add the turmeric, sugar, cumin and salt and continue to fry for 1 minute.
  5. Pour in the yogurt and lemon juice, stirring continuously.
  6. Lastly fold in the bread carefully so that it does not crumble too much.
  7. Cook for 2 more minutes.
  8. Serve sprinkled with coriander and chopped tomato.
  9. Tip: Dollop some extra yogurt over the finished dish to cool.
