Brinjal Curry - North Indian Style Brinjal curry - Brinjal Curry - North Indian Style 1/2 kg Brinjal/Vazhuthanaga1/4 kg Onion1/2 tsp Mustard seeds1/2 tsp Black gram (Uzhunnuparippu)1/2 tsp Red chilly powder1/4 tsp Salt5 tsp Oil Cut onions and brinjals into semi-circular pieces. Heat oil in a pan.Add mustard seeds and when it splutters, add the black gram.When they get roasted, add the onions and brinjals.Add salt and red chilly powder. Fry it by stirring continuously until the brinjals and onions become soft.:-Instead of red chilly powder,you may try it out with paruuppu podi or the normal molagai podi.
