  • Chicken(cut into small pieces) - 3/4 kg
  • Chilly powder - 2 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Tomato(grind to a smooth paste) - 2 big
  • Ginger Paste - 1 tbsp
  • Garlic paste - 1 tbsp
  • Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
  • Onion(medium) - 3 nos
  • Cashew nuts(soaked in water) - 12 nos
  • Kasoori methi powder - 1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves - 1/4 cup
  • Butter - 2 tbsp
  • Water - 1 cup
  • Fresh cream(Little) -

Instructions
  1. In a pan, heat oil and saute onion till it turns soft. Keep this aside to cool.
  2. Grind sauted onion and soaked cashew nuts to a fine paste. Keep this aside.
  3. Heat a deep pan, pour butter and saute chicken pieces. Add turmeric powder and salt till chicken gets 3/4th cooked.
  4. To this add ginger paste, garlic paste and saute till raw smell disappears. Then add chilly powder, garam masala and saute for few minutes.
  5. Add tomato paste & saute till oil appears. To this add water, salt and boil till chicken gets cooked.
  6. After the chicken is cooked, add onion-cashew paste and mix well. Bring to boil. To this add kasoori methi powder and remove from fire
  7. Garnish with cream and coriander leaves. Serve hot.
