Instructions
  1. Soak the rice and dal overnight.
  2. Grind the coconut, whole red chillies, tamarind and salt to a fine paste.
  3. Add the soaked rice and toovar dal to the coconut paste and grind together.
  4. Mix the chopped cabbage, spring onions and onions together in a vessel.
  5. Add the ground masala paste to the vegetables and mix well.
  6. Heat a cast iron skillet or griddle and spread the batter evenly and cover with a lid.
  7. Cook on a low flame for 3-4 minutes till the bottom turns brown.
  8. Turn and cook on the flip side.
