  • Cabbage(shredded) - 1/2 medium
  • Gram flour(Kadalapodi/Besan) -
  • or -
  • Allpurpose flour(Maida) - 2 tbsp
  • Oil for frying -
  • Bay leaf(Vazhana/Karuga ela) - 1 no
  • Salt(As reqd) -
  • Sugar(A little) -
  • Coriander leaves (for garnishing) -
For the paste:-
  • Onion(medium) - 1 no
  • Tomato(medium) - 2 nos
  • Ginger(A piece) -
  • Cardamon(Elakka) - 1 no
  • Cinnamon(A small stick, Karugapatta) -
  • Clove(Grambu) - 1 no
  • Cumin seeds(Jeerakam) - 1 tsp
  • Coriander - 1 tsp

Instructions
  1. 1)Take the shredded cabbage in a bowl.2)Add flour and make small round balls with the same.3)Deep fry the balls in the hot oil and keep aside.4)Heat 1 tsp of oil in a pan or a kadai.5)Add bay leaves followed by the paste, salt and a little bit of sugar.6)Allow it to cook, till the oil separates from the sides of the pan.:- You can add little water if the paste is too thick.7)Switch off the flame.8)Add the cabbage koftas and close the pan with its` lid.9)Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
