Cabbage
should be cut into tiny pieces of 1 cm

Mustard seeds

tsp
Black gram
Uzhunnuparippu

Onion
finely chopped
3

Green chillies
split in between
3
tbsp
Coconut oil
8
leaves
Curry leaves
Fresh
coconut
(grated)
1/2
tsp
Turmeric powder
4
nos
Shallots
Kunjulli
Instructions
Shallots, grated
coconut
, 1 green chilly and some
curry leaves
together needs a light smash in the mixer. 2 sec run will do. Keep aside.
Heat
oil
in a pan.
Splutter
mustard seeds
.
Saute
curry leaves
and
black gram
.
Add onions and chillies.
When
onion
turns golden brown, add cut
cabbage
after washing in
water
.
Mix well and add
turmeric
and
salt
.
Close the lid for 5 mins.
:- It should get cooked by now.
Add the shallot mixture and give it a stir.
Sprinkle little
coconut oil
on top.
:- Serve hot with rice.
