Instructions
  1. Chop the cabbage very finely or grate it.
  2. After washing it, let it drain for 10 - 15 minutes.
  3. Crush once and then chop the garlic finely.
  4. Mix together cabbage, garlic and salt.
  5. Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
  6. Splutter mustard seeds.
  7. Immediately, add the mixed cabbage and mix well.
  8. Cover the pan and reduce the heat to medium - low.
  9. After 5 minutes, remove the lid.
  10. Add coconut, if desired and stir well.
  11. Cover and cook, till the cabbage is done.
  12. :- Check for salt.
  13. Fry it on high flame for a minute.
  14. :- We like the cabbage a bit on the crisp side, so I do not cook it much. There is no need of water. Just keep an eye so that it soes not stick at the bottom of the pan.
  15. :- Serve with rotis or with rice
