For preparing caramelized bread pudding, first heat 2 1/2 dsp of sugar and 2 1/2 dsp of water till golden brown in color.
Remove the caramel mixture from fire and add warm milk, stirring continuously. Keep in low flame till sugar melts completely. Keep this aside.
The next procedure in the preparation of caramelized bread pudding involves cutting off crusts from the bread slices and buttering them.
Slice the bread pieces into small triangles.
Arrange the bread slices in a baking tray as the base layer. Put the raisins on top.
Meanwhile, beat egg and add 1 dsp of sugar. Mix the egg mixture with caramelized milk.
Pour the caramelized milk mixture over the bread pieces.
Bake in an oven(325 degrees) for 30 minutes till set. Take out the caramelized bread pudding and sprinkle remaining sugar on top. Bake for another 10 minutes and allow the pudding to cool.
Caramelized bread pudding is ready and serve hot or cold.
