Carrot Tofu Kofta - Vegetarian

This Tofu Kofta is very yummy. Similar to Paneer Kofta but in a different way with bit spicy. We can also use Potato instead of Carrot

Ingredients
  

  • 400 gm Tofu / Paneer 14 oz
  • 4 pcs Cooked Carrots of 2 potato
  • 50 gm Crushed Cashew nuts optional
  • Corn starch (or all purpose powder)
  • 3-4 Tomato
  • 2 Onion big
  • 2 Green chilli
  • 1 cup Grated coconut
  • Garam masala
  • Coriander leaves

Instructions
 

  • Smash Tofu, carrots, cashew nuts, and mix with some coriander leaves (chopped in small), 1 tbsp garam masala, some salt. Make balls and dip in corn startch for frying
  • Fry those balls in oil till slightly brown color. (Those who doesnt want deep fried, use the oven to broil with oil sprayed). Set aside to drain the oil
  • Saute chopped onion, green chilli. After few minutes add garam masala, grated coconut saute few more minutes, add sliced tomato, some salt. Saute 2 more minutes. Remove from flame and let it cool.
  • Grind the above mix and make a paste.
  • Warm up 2 or 3 tbsp ghee in a pan and add the above paste. After a minute add cream, fried balls and chopped coriander leaves. Serve with rice, chappathi or bread.

Notes

You may also add some raisins also with the Tofu carrot ball.
