Uzhunnuparippu

Salt

Green gram
Cheruparippu

Turmeric powder

Dry red chilly
Kollamulaku

Grated
coconut
optional
Instructions
Cut cauliflower into small flowerets.
Put these pieces in boiling
water
by adding 1/4 tsp
salt
,
turmeric powder
, dry red chilly and leave it covered for 5 min.
Remove the cauliflowers which float on top to a separate vessel to ensure that the rest of the flowerets are clean.
Heat
oil
in a pan and add
mustard seeds
. When they pop, add
black gram
. When it`s roasted, add the washed cauliflower.
Add
green gram
, 1/4 tsp
salt
, 2 tbsp of
water
and cook it covered in low heat, stirring occasionally to see if it is fully cooked and soft.
Finally, add grated
coconut
if required.
