Chakkakuru Thakkali Curry is a traditional favorite in Kerala Cuisine prepared using jackfruit seeds. Usually raw mango is used but here tomato is substituted. Chakkakuru Thakkali Curry is preferred during summer season when jackfruits are available in plenty. Instructions
  1. For preparing Chakkakuru Thakkali Curry, take all the ingredients and keep it ready.
  2. Cook the jackfruit seeds with tomato, green chilly, turmeric powder, chilly powder, green chilly, salt and water as required for 4-5 whistles.
  3. Grind grated coconut with little water to get a smooth paste and mix it with the cooked jackfruit seeds.
  4. Add water if required and bring it boil.
  5. Heat oil in a pan, splutter mustard seeds and add chopped shallots. Saute it until golden brown in colour and mix it with the curry.
  6. Delicious chakkakuru thakkali curry is ready to serve.
