Instructions
  1. For preparing Chakkakuru/Jackfruit Seeds Thoran, first remove the skin off the seeds and cut it into two and then into small pieces.
  2. Place grated coconut, cumin seeds, green chillies, garlic and curry leaves in a mixer bowl and run it once to get a coarse form.
  3. Cook chakkakuru/jackfruit seeds along with turmeric powder, salt and a little water in a vessel.
  4. when it is cooked, remove it from the flame. Add the coconut mixture into the cooked seeds and mix well.
  5. Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds and saute dry red chillies, rice and curry leaves. Add the chakkakuru coconut mixture and mix well.
  6. Lower the flame and allow it to cook, stirring occasionally. Remove from the flame when done.
  7. Tasty Chakkakuru thoran is ready.
