1/2 kg Fine rice (not Basmathi rice)1/4 kg Green gram350 ml Ghee1 no Coconut100 gm Cashew500 gm Sugar or finely grated Jaggery1 tsp Cardamom powder (Elakka)1 ltr Milk Wash rice and green gram. By spreading them over a neat surface, allow to dry.Cut the coconut into small pieces.Fry both coconut and cashew in 1 tbsp of ghee.Mix 1 ltr of milk and 2 glasses of water and boil.Add rice and green gram. Cook until done.Add cashew & coconut pieces followed by sugar/jaggary powder. Mix well.Add cardamom powder.Add the ghee. Mix thoroughly and allow to simmer gently on low flame until fully done. Andhra
