For preparing chala fry masala, first clean the fish and marinate with ingredients for marination. Keep aside for 10 minutes.
After this, fry fish in low flame. Do not deep fry it. Once fried, keep it aside.
Then take another pan to make the masala.
Once the pan is hot, add the oil used for frying fish. Add shallots and onion. Saute it well. Once done, add ingredients for masala. Add tomato and saute it for 5 minutes thoroughly.
After that, add 1 glass water and mix it properly. Add the fried fish and keep it in medium flame till water starts boiling. Add salt as required in the end if required.
