Cutlets made with Channa(Kadala)

Ingredients

cup
Channa
You can use white or black, Kadla
1
no
Onion
finely chopped
Ginger
finely chopped
Green chillies
finely chopped
1
cup
Rusk powder
5
tbsp
Allpurpose flour
Maida
Salt
As reqd
Oil
for frying
Instructions
Soak channa in cold
water
for about 8 hours.
Pressure cook it for about 15 mins.
Smash the cooked channa well and keep it aside.
Mix together smashed channa, 1/2 cup of rusk powder,
onion
,
green chillies
,
ginger
and
salt
.
Mix 5 tbsp of maida with
water
and make it into a semisolid paste.
:- It should not be watery.
Make small balls off the channa mixture and and press it lightly.
Roll it in the remaining rusk powder.
Deep fry them in hot
oil
.
