Instructions
  1. Soak chawli in water overnight.
  2. Boil for 3 whistles in a pressure cooker.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and add the cinnamon stick and cloves and for a minute.

  6. Add the grated onion and fry till it turns golden brown.
  7. Add ginger garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
  8. Add grated tomatoes and all the dry masala powders and salt.
  9. Cover and cook on a low flame till the oil separates from the masala.
  10. Add the boiled chawli and 1 cup water and simmer on a low flame for 5 minutes.
