Cheese Idiyappam

Idiyappam is a traditional breakfast dish from Kerala cuisine. There are several varieties in this recipe. This is a different kind of breakfast with a great variation . Kids will be fond of this recipe . This is healthy and tasty. We have stuffed carrots and cheese in this , which will be a fulfilled breakfast or evening evening snack. Made simply from rice flour, it becomes the perfect vehicle to mop up delicious curries like Veg Kurma or enjoy it sweet along with sweetened coconut milk for breakfast / tiffin. These days Idiyappam is made with brown rice flour and mostly without coconut citing health reasons. if you want to taste the real deal you go for the white rice flour Idiyappam with coconut, there is no comparison between the white n brown one

Instructions
  1. boil water with salt
  2. add rice flour
  3. knead and make a dough
  4. press it in and steam it for 5 mind.this is the first layer.
  5. now grate carrots and cheese.
  6. place it on the steamed ones
  7. now above it again press and cover the stuffing.
  8. cook for 5 mins and serve.
