Chembu Mezhukkupuratti is also called as taro root in english and in tamil in cheppankizhangu . its family of Colocasia . It is a traditional kerala style curry with tasty. It can cause skin irritation when peeling. so when you start before that soak few mins rice water to avoid that itching. we adding onion and green chilli to increase the taste and with simple tempering . Instructions
  1. Heat oil in a kadai add mustard .When mustard splutters add urad dal and green chilly .
  2. Add onions and curry leaves to this and saute for 2 minutes.
  3. Add chopped chembu 1/2 cup water and salt to this .
  4. Close the lid of the pan and cook for 10 minutes on a low flame..
  5. Uncover the pan and stir until water dry up
  6. Now chembu mezhukkupuratti is ready to serve.
