Instructions
  1. For preparing chemmeen thenga curry, first grind coconut with cumin seeds, ginger, coriander, chilly powder and turmeric.
  2. In a clay pot, add coconut oil. Fry onion in it.
  3. Add the ground coconut paste and fry for a while till oil accumulates on top.
  4. Add water and cook masala. Add prawns and cook.
  5. Add gambooge and cover it and cook well.
  6. In a pan, fry garlic, shallots and curry leaves.
  7. Add this to the curry. Add salt and coconut milk.
  8. When starts to boil, remove from flame. Yummy chemmeen thenga curry is ready. Serve hot.
