Instructions
  1. For preparing the delicious and healthy dish, first clean the whole green gram well and remove unwanted stuff from it.
  2. Cook it separately with water in a pressure cooker.
  3. :- Make sure you don't overcook it.
  4. Cut the yam stem into long pieces, peel off the skin and chop it finely.
  5. Place together the grated coconut, green chillies, garlic, turmeric powder and cumin seeds in a mixer bowl and run it once to make it into a coarse form.
  6. Mix together the above with the chopped yam stem and salt.
  7. Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
  8. Splutter mustard seeds and saute red chillies, rice and curry leaves.
  9. Add the prepared yam mixture into the above pan and mix well.
  10. Cover and cook for about 2 to 3 mins.
  11. Remove the lid and add the cooked whole green gram and mix well.
  12. Continue cooking, till done without the lid on.
  13. :- Make sure the dish doesn't get overcooked or mashed.
