Ingredients

  • 500 ml Milk
  • 5 tbsp Sugar but can reduce if you do not prefer much sweet
  • 100 gm Sweetened cherry canned
  • 2 tbsp Custard powder
  • Water very little around 1 tbsp or say 10 ml
  • Salt A pinch

Instructions

  • First of all, keep aside 1/2 a glass of milk (ard 50 ml).
  • Boil the rest of the milk with 3 heaped tbsp of sugar.
  • While the milk boils, put in 2 tbsp of custard powder into the 50 ml milk kept aside and stir well to make it a sort of viscus solution.
  • When the milk boils, lower the flame to minimum and pour this custard solution into the milk and stir continuously.
  • Within seconds, the milk starts to thicken but keep stiring for around a minute and then remove from flame and keep aside.
  • In a pan, pour in very little water and 2 heaped tbsp of sugar along with a pinch of salt.
  • Let the sugar dissolve.
  • Meanwhile, chop the sweetened cherries to very small pieces and add these chopped cherries to the pan and stir for around a minute.
  • Add this mixture to the hot custard, just prepared and pour it on to a mould or any vessel, of whose shape you want your pudding to obtain.
  • Refrigerate it for atleast 1 hr for it to set.
  • "mamamia"......... your delicious custard cherry pudding is ready to be served..........
  • :- If you dont have cherries at home, you can use other sweet fruits instead, needn`t be sweetened or canned either, simply substitute it with cherry... you can also use multiple fruits too. but make sure you use sweet fruits as pears, strawberry etc and not citrus fruits....
