  • Seeraga Samba Rice - 2 cup
  • Onion - 2
  • Tomato - 1
  • Curd - 1 cup
  • Green chili - 4
  • Mint and coriander leaves - 1 cup
  • Ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp
  • Saffron - 4
  • Bay leaf - 1
  • Cloves - 4
  • Cinnamon - 2
  • Cardamom(- 2) -
  • Red chili powder - 1 tsp
  • Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
  • Biriyani masala - 1 tsp
  • Oil(for frying) -
  • For marination: -
  • Shallots - 6
  • garlic - 5
  • Funnel seed - 1/2 tsp
  • Jeera - 1/2 tsp
  • Pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • Red chili powder - 1 tsp

Instructions
  1. Grind the list of ingredients is table and keep aside
  2. Apply on the fish and marinate for 1 hour or minimun 1/2 hour
  3. Now fry with oil and keep aside
  4. In pan add oil and fried onions and keep aside
  5. In pan add fish cooked oil and temper cloves, cinnamon, cardamom , bay leaf and add little fried onion
  6. Now add ginger garlic paste , tomato, green chili and saute well
  7. Soak saffron with water or milk
  8. Cook 3/4th of rice and keep aside with salt
  9. Now add mint and coriander leave and all powders mix well
  10. Now add curd and cook thick gravy
  11. Now add fried fish and keep low flame
  12. Now add rice and layer with fried onions
  13. Now sprinkle mint and coriander leaves and saffron and close lid and cook for 5 -10 mins and turn off
  14. Now its ready to serve Chettinad Fish Fry Biriyani
