Chicken in soya sauce and vinegar

Ingredients
  

  • 1 kg Chicken
  • 1 ½ Soya Sauce
  • 2 tsp Vinegar
  • ¼ tsp Ajinomoto
  • 6 sprigs Spring Onions
  • 4 nos Garlic pods
  • 50 gm Cashew nuts
  • 5 nos Red Chillies Kollamulaku
  • 1 tsp Chilly Powder
  • Chicken Stock/water ¾ cup
  • 2 tsp Cornflour
  • 2 tsp Cooking Oil
  • ½ tsp Sugar
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • Clean the chicken pieces in running water and drain all the water.
  • Add soya sauce, vinegar, salt, sugar and ajinomoto.
  • Mix well and marinate for 3-4 hours.
  • In a broad pan, heat oil.
  • Add the cashew nuts and roast them lightly.
  • Remove from fire and keep aside.
  • In the same oil, add chopped red chillies, garlic and finely chopped spring onions and saute`.
  • Add the marinated chicken.
  • Sprinkle chilly powder and fry until water evaporates.
  • Add corn flour mixed in a little water and the fried cashew nuts.
  • Cover and cook till done.
