Wash the chilka moong dal (with skin), yellow moong dal (without skin) and channa dal together under running cold water till the water runs clear.
Boil the dal in a pressure cooker, 4-5 whistles. Heat the oil and ghee together in a pan and fry ½ tsp whole jeera.3) Add the garlic, onions and green chilies and fry till golden brown in color.4) Fry till the onions are a pale brown in color.
Add the boiled dals, ½ tsp turmeric powder and salt and mix well with a masher.
You can add a little water, if required. Cook till the dals boil and are well blended. 7) Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
