Ingredients
  

  • Green chilka moong dal (with skin) : 1 cup
  • Yellow moong dal (without skin) : ¼ cup
  • Channa dal : ¼ cup
  • 6 cloves Garlic finely chopped : 5
  • Onions (medium) : 3 nos(finely chopped)
  • 4 - Green chillies finely chopped
  • Turmeric powder : ½ tsp
  • Whole jeera : ½ tsp
  • Oil : 3 tsp
  • Ghee : 1 tsp
  • Chopped coriander leaves : few
  • Salt : to taste

Instructions
 

  • Wash the chilka moong dal (with skin), yellow moong dal (without skin) and channa dal together under running cold water till the water runs clear.
  • Boil the dal in a pressure cooker, 4-5 whistles. Heat the oil and ghee together in a pan and fry ½ tsp whole jeera.3) Add the garlic, onions and green chilies and fry till golden brown in color.4) Fry till the onions are a pale brown in color.
  • Add the boiled dals, ½ tsp turmeric powder and salt and mix well with a masher.
  • You can add a little water, if required. Cook till the dals boil and are well blended. 7) Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  • :- Serve with rice or roti.
