Ingredients
  

  • Chillies As reqd
  • 2 Cups Besan Kadalamavu
  • A Pinch Baking soda
  • 3/4 Tsp. Asafoetida(Kayam)
  • 1 Tsp. Chilly Powder
  • 1/4 Tsp. Ajwain
  • Water As reqd
  • Tamarind Paste As reqd

Instructions
 

  • Take 2 Cups besan in a bowl.

  • Add a pinch of baking soda and little salt.
  • Add 3/4 Tsp. Asafoetida.
  • Add 1 Tsp. Chilly powder.
  • Add 1/4 Tsp. Ajwain

  • Add water little by little and prepare a dosa batter consistency. Keep batter aside.

  • Take the chillies in a plate. Cut and deseed. You can also cut in half. Note: To reduce chilli spiciness, immerse in lime water for 15 minutes.

  • Apply tamarind paste on the inside of the chillies.
  • Heat a pan in medium heat and add required oil.

  • Coat the chillies in the thick batter and fry in oil. After 1 minute, flip the chillies. Keep flipping.

  • Remove the fried chillies or pakodas from oil. Relish tasty Chilly Pakoras with hot chai.
