  • Churakka/Bottle gourd/Doodhi(grated, medium sized) - 2 nos
  • Cardamom(Elakka) - 5 nos
  • Raisins(Onakkamunthiri) - 1/2 cup
  • Cashews - 1/2 cup
  • Almonds(optional, Badam) - 1/4 cup
  • Sugar - 1 cup
  • Milk - 1 1/2 cups
  • Ghee - 1/2 cup

Instructions
  1. Heat about 1/4 cup of ghee in a pan or a kadai.
  2. Heat milk and dissolve sugar in another vessel.
  3. Add the grated churakka/bottle gourd to the ghee and fry till the color changes to light brown.
  4. While frying, add milk little by little and stir.
  5. Take another pan and pour the remaining ghee and fry raisins and cashews in it.
  6. When the cashews become brown in color, pour this into the fried churakka.
  7. :- Ghee adds more taste.
  8. :- Fry churakka continuously without taking off your hand so that it gets soft.
  9. Garnish with almonds and cardamoms.
