Coconut
grated

Onion

Green chillies
Curry leaves
A few

Urad dal
Salt
As reqd
2-3
springs
Coriander leaves
2
tbsp
Coconut oil
1
tsp
Mustard
1/2
tsp
Cumin seeds
Jeerakam
2-3
nos
Red chillies
chopped in 3 pieces
Instructions
For preparing
coconut
-
onion
rice, soak urad dal in
water
for 10 minutes and strain extra
water
.
Chop
onion
,
green chillies
and coriander leaves.
In a kadai, heat
coconut oil
and fey
red chillies
,
cumin seeds
and mustard.
When mustard splutters. Add urad dal and sautT for 5-8 minutes.
Now add
green chillies
,
onion
and
curry leaves
and sautT.
Add grated
coconut
and sautT for 10 minutes adding
salt
.
Remove from fire, transfer cooked rice to this and mix well.
Finally sprinkle chopped coriander leaves over the rice.
Coconut

onion
rice is ready, Serve with pudina chutney.
