Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 160 c. Grease a cookie tray.
  2. Sift flour and baking powder into a medium bowl. Add coconut and required salt.
  3. In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar till pale and creamy.
  4. Add the egg yolks and beat until just combined.
  5. Stir in the flour mixture with your fingers and mix into a soft dough.ß :- do not knead with palms.
  6. Cover the cookie dough in a plastic wrap and chill for 30 minutes.
  7. Make balls with 2 tsp of the mixture and flatten it between palms.
  8. Press a pecan into the centre of each cookie. :- Brush each cookie with beaten egg(optional).
  9. Place them in a cookie tray, about 2 inches apart.
  10. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden. Set aside to cool completely.
  11. When thoroughly cooled, store in a sealed container.ß
