Covered Prawn Fry
Prawns
are dipped in a batter and then fried in
oil

Prawns
peeled, de-veined and cleaned
1
tbsp
Soya sauce
1
tsp
Pepper powder
1/2
tsp
Turmeric powder
2
tsp
Corn flour
1 1/2
tbsp
Celery
finely chopped
1/2
tsp
Vinegar
1
tsp
All purpose flour
Maida
2
nos
Egg
whites
Agino moto
A pinch
Oil
to fry
2
tbsp
Water
Salt
As reqd
Instructions
For preparing covered prawn fry, cook the
prawns
in 1/2 tsp
pepper powder
, soya sauce,
salt
,
turmeric powder
and some
water
. Drain the
water
and keep it aside.
Beat the
egg
white well in a bowl.
Mix in corn flour, maida, vinegar and celery to the above
egg
white to make a thick paste. Keep it aside.
Heat
oil
in a china dish.
Dip the cooked
prawns
in the paste and fry it in
oil
till it becomes crispy. Cover and cook it.
Covered prawn fry is ready. Serve hot.
