Cucumber Dal Curry

It's my daughter's favourite curry that goes well with steamed rice.It's a very simple,easy and protein rich curry that requires minimum amount of oil.Cucumber dal curry requires little amount of coconut and that gives it a nice flavour.

Instructions
  1. Wash dal and cucumber.
  2. Take a pressure cooker add washed dal and chopped cucumber. Add some turmeric powder,red chilli powder,salt and water as required
  3. Cook it for 3-4 whistle.
  4. Grind coconut with little water and adding to the curry.
  5. Mix well,when it starts boil,remove it from the flame
  6. Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seed.add chopped shallots and curry leaves.when it turns light brown in colour,turn off the flame.
  7. Mix it with the curry.
  8. Tasty cucumber Dal Curry is ready.
