Currant Biscuits
A biscuit with currant topping

All purpose flour
sifted, Maida
75
g
Currants
berries
100
g
Softened butter
125
g
Icing
sugar
2

Eggs
Instructions
For preparing currant biscuits, preheat the oven at 200 degrees celsius.
Mix
sugar
and butter until the
sugar
dissolves.
Add in eggs and mix well.
Then add in maida and mix till the mixture has an even consistency. Put it in a piping bag.
Place a grease paper at the bottom of the baking tray.
Press small drops out of the piping bag onto the grease paper.
Top each drop with 4-5 currants.
Put the baking tray in the oven and bake it for about 10 minutes. The biscuits should be golden brown around the edges and light in the middle.
Remove the biscuits using a metal spatula and allow it to cool.
Currant biscuits are ready.
