Dal Fry Easy Dal (Parippu) curry 1 cup Tur Dal / Toor dal (Thuvaraparippu)3 nos Garlic podsGinger (A small piece)5 nos Green chillies1/2 bunch Coriander leaves1/2 tsp Cumin seeds (Jeerakam)1/2 tsp Turmeric powderSalt (As reqd)1 no Bay leaves (Karuga/Vazhana ela)1 no Cinnamon stick (Karugapatta)1/2 of Onion2 - Ghee/Cooking oil Grind together the green chillies, coriander leaves, ginger and cumin seeds into a paste.Cook the toor dal, along with garlic pods and turmeric powder.Heat 2 - 3 tsp cooking oil or ghee in a pan or a kadai.Saute the bay leaves and cinnamon stick for sometime.Add onions & fry till golden brown.Add the ground paste & fry till all the water leaves & the paste turns brown in colour.Add the cooked dal.Add salt to taste.Garnish with coriander leaves. :- Serve with Roti / Paratha / Jeera Rice.
