Make yummy dal curry with a difference

Thuvaraparippu

Onion

Green Chillies

Coconut

coconut
milk
Pepper powder
As reqd
Salt
As reqd
Curry leaves
A few

Ghee
2-3
nos
Shallots
Kunjulli
Instructions
Cook red gram with sliced onions,
green chillies
and
salt
.
Add
coconut
milk
.
:-The amount of the
coconut
milk
depends on the consistency of the dish required.
Sprinkle
pepper powder
to your taste.
Finally, add
curry leaves
.
Heat
ghee
in a pan.
Saute the shallots till brown and add this seasoning to the above.
:- Make sure not to add too much of
water
, as the
water
should be very little left, once the dal is cooked. The dal should not be overcooked.
