Dal Paratta This is a simple dish made out of leftover dal. 1 cup Left over Cooked Dal (any type of cooked channa dal or moong dal )2 - Wheat Flour1 no Onion (finely chopped, medium)2 - Green chillies (finely chopped)2 nos Garlic pods (finely chopped)Coriander leaves (A handful, fully chopped)Salt (As reqd)1/4 - Chilly powder1/4 tsp Turmeric powder (optional)Oil for frying Take the leftover dal and mash it well, so that all the ingredients used along with it while cooking are blended well.Take the wheat flour in a big bowl and add the dal, onions, chillies, garlic, coriander leaves, salt and all the masalas. Add a spoon of oil and knead the flour to a smooth dough. :- If required you may use water. Refrigerate the dough for 15 - 20 mins.Take out the dough and make lemon sized balls off it.Roll into a small disc and then smear oil/ghee and fold into a semicircle.Again smear a little oil/ghee on this and fold again to form a triangle shape.Dust this with some flour and roll into a medium sized triangular paratta.Cook on a tawa, until golden brown on both sides.:- Serve hot with pickles and curd.
