Carrot

Curry leaves
4
slices
Ginger
2
nos
Green chillies
slit
Coriander leaves
To garnish
Oil
As reqd
1/4
tsp
Turmeric Powder
Salt
As reqd
Ghee
As reqd
1
tsp
Mustard seeds
1
tsp
Cumin seeds
Jeerakam
Lemon juice
juice of 1/4 lemon
Instructions
Heat 2 tsp of
ghee
in a pan.
Fry moong dal for 3-5 minutes.
Pressure cook moong dal with enough
water
,
turmeric powder
,
carrot
, beans,
curry leaves
and
ginger
.
Add
oil
in a pan and once hot add
mustard seeds
.
Once it splutters add
cumin seeds
and once it crackles add
curry leaves
.
Add finely chopped onions and saute until raw smell goes off.
To this add cooked moong dal and add
salt
to taste.
Simmer for 5-10 minutes. Add
water
as per required consistency.
Garnish with coriander leaves and squeeze in lemon at the end.
