cut into 8 pieces, medium

Brinjal
medium size & cut into pieces, Vazhuthananga

Squash
cut into pieces

Taro root
peeled and cut into half

Turmeric powder
Salt
As reqd

tsp
Cumin seeds
Jeerakam
1"

Ginger
chopped
2-3
nos
Dry
red chillies
Kollamulaku

Ghee
For seasoning:
Cumin seeds
A pinch, jeerakam
Red chilly powder
A pinch
Instructions
Boil the dal with
salt
and
turmeric powder
in a vessel for 10 minutes.
Add
potato
, taro root and squash to it and allow it to boil for 10 minutes. Keep the vessel covered.
Add
brinjal
and boil it for 5 more minutes, till everything is cooked.
Heat
ghee
in a pan.
Add
cumin seeds
, chopped
ginger
and
red chillies
.
When the
cumin seeds
splutter, add dal.
Add the cooked vegetables into it and mix well.
Add
cumin seeds
and red chilly powder fried in
ghee
.
:- It smells not only terrific but is tasty, easy to prepare and healthy to eat.
