Dates Chutney Easy

Instructions
  1. For preparing dates chutney, first soak tamarind in little water and add jaggery. Sieve and collect the tamarind extract.
  2. Heat gingelly oil and splutter mustard and fenugreek seeds.
  3. Add onion, ginger, garlic, green chillies and saute for a few minutes.
  4. Lower the flame and add chilly powder, tamarind extract and required salt.
  5. Finally, add minced dates and cook in low fire until done. Remove from fire and allow it to cool. Dates chutney, an apt side dish for biriyani is ready.
  6. When dates chutney has cooled down, store in a glass bottle and refrigerate for longer period of storage.
