  • Raisins(Unakka munthiri) - 1/2 cup
  • Dates(chopped) - 2 tbsp
  • Egg(beaten) - 1 no
  • Shortening - 1/4 cup
  • Biscuit(powdered) - 1 cup
  • Soda powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Vanilla Essence - 1/2 tsp
  • Water - 1/2 cup
  • Salt(A pinch) -

Instructions
  1. For preparing diabetic delight, first cook raisins and dates in 1/2 cup of water. Boil for 3 minutes.
  2. Add shortening and mix well. Allow it to cool.
  3. Add maida flour, biscuit, beaten egg, soda powder, Custard, vanilla essence and a pinch of salt. Mix well and chill.
  4. Drop onto a cookie tray in small rounds and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
  5. Diabetic delight, a favorite cookie with kids as well as elders, is ready.
