  • Boneless Chicken(cut into small pieces) - 750 gm
  • Onion(sliced into 4 equal quartrets, small) - 1 no
  • Green chillies - 7 -
  • Ginger(the more the better) -
  • Soy sauce(A dash) -
  • Tomato(chilli sauce) -
  • Chilli oil(if available) - 1 tbsp
  • Allpurpose flour(Maida) - 4 tbsp
  • Cornflour - 4 tbsp
  • Vegatable oil for frying -
  • Ajinomoto(optional) -
  • Chicken stock - 1/2 cup
  • Salt(As reqd) -
  • Turmeric powder(A pinch) -
  • Spring onions for garnishing -
  • Celery for garnishing -

Instructions
  1. Boil the chicken with salt and turmeric powder.
  2. For making the batter:- 1)Mix together the maida and about 3 tbsp of cornflour.
  3. Add 1 tsp each of ginger & garlic paste.
  4. :- Adding a paste of around 1-2 green chillies would be good for those who like spicy stuff.
  5. Add salt and a bit of warm water and mix well.
  6. Dip the chicken pieces in the batter and deep fry in vegetable oil.
  7. :- Do not use coconut oil.
  8. For making the sauce:- 1)Heat a bit of oil in a pan.
  9. Saute the diced onions & ginger- garlic paste.
  10. Add the chicken stock, around 2 tbsp each of tomato sauce, chilli sauce, chilli oil and soy sauce.
  11. Add 5 - 6 green chillies split into 2 halves into the sauce.
  12. Add salt/ajinomoto as per taste.
  13. Dissolve 1 tsp of cornflour in a little water and add to the mixture.
  14. :- The mixture will thicken in a flash.
  15. Add the fried chicken and toss.
  16. Garnish with spring onions and celery.
  17. :- Serve as a side dish for Fried rice, Noodles etc.
